1. Introduction
Welcome to CarryMitra. By accessing or using our platform, website, or mobile application, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully before using our services. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you may not use our platform.
CarryMitra operates as a peer-to-peer delivery marketplace connecting senders with travellers. We are not a courier service and are not responsible for the physical handling of parcels beyond the scope defined herein.
2. User Responsibilities
By creating an account and using CarryMitra, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, complete, and truthful information during registration
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
- Use the platform only for lawful purposes
- Not misrepresent the contents, weight, or value of any parcel
- Complete KYC (Know Your Customer) verification before making transactions
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
3. Prohibited Items
The following items are strictly prohibited on the CarryMitra platform:
- Illegal substances, narcotics, or controlled drugs
- Weapons, firearms, ammunition, or explosive materials
- Flammable, hazardous, or radioactive materials
- Counterfeit goods or items that infringe intellectual property rights
- Cash, negotiable instruments, or bearer bonds
- Live animals or perishable food items unless pre-approved
- Any item restricted by Indian customs or postal law
Violations may result in immediate account termination and referral to appropriate legal authorities.
4. Platform Liability
CarryMitra acts as an intermediary marketplace. Accordingly:
- We are not liable for loss, damage, or delay caused by travellers, senders, or third parties
- We do not insure parcels unless explicitly stated in a separate insurance product
- Our maximum liability for any claim is limited to the transaction value of the affected delivery
- We are not responsible for force majeure events including natural disasters, civil unrest, or governmental actions
5. Account Suspension
CarryMitra reserves the right to suspend or permanently ban any account that:
- Violates any provision of these Terms & Conditions
- Engages in fraudulent or deceptive behaviour
- Receives multiple verified complaints from other users
- Attempts to circumvent our payment or rating systems
- Fails to complete KYC within the required timeframe
Suspended users may appeal the decision by contacting our support team within 14 days of notification.
6. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
7. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be communicated via email and/or a notification on the platform. Continued use of CarryMitra after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
